Many congratulations to Lucy Baverstock on her signing with the Leicester Tigers Women's Senior Squad!
After playing at the club since the age of six, Lucy "graduated" from the Hitchin Youth Girls squad (Cap No. 24) at the end of the 2025 season having represented the Youth Girls Team every year since the age of 12!
Her commitment, talent and dedication to the game have been clear to everyone who has watched her develop through the Hitchin pathway.
Lucy was proudly presented with her Hitchin cap by our very own Chris Watts, "Lofty", marking the culmination of an outstanding youth rugby journey.
The Baverstock family are very much part of the Hitchin Rugby Club family. Alongside Lucy's achievements, her brother continues to represent the club within the senior squad when home from university.
We are incredibly proud to see one of our own progress to the next level and everyone at Hitchin Rugby Club wishes Lucy every success with Leicester Tigers. We look forward to following her journey and celebrating her future achievements.

Congratulations, Lucy - a fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved!
