After finishing top of the Herts Girls League for their age group, they went to the Finals Day at Harpenden today to play 2nd placed Welwyn for the Cup. As with all games against Welwyn, it was hard fought by both sides, with lots of excellent attacking runs, big tackles and hard fought breakdowns.

It was touch and go until late in the match, but ultimately our girls extended their small lead with the final play of the game and claimed the Cup.

There’s still more fun to be had before the season ends, but it’ll be hard to top the joy the girls got from seeing out a tough match against a very strong opposition. Their coaches couldn’t be happier for them and hope they understand just how good they are.
